The MultiRotor Podcast changes ownership… Why it’s going to be better than before!

As of August 29, 2014, Multirotorpodcast.com has been aquired by JJE Productions. This is exciting news for us because it means we will now have the ability to deliver more content and we will have resources to make the show better.

So, we figure that you might have some questions regarding this news and we wanted to try and answer them here:

WILL JOE AND ERICK STILL BE INVOLVED?

Yes! Joe and Erick will still be hosting the show, nothing is going to change there.

WHAT WILL THE SHOW’S FREQUENCY BE?

At the very least it will be twice a month, however both Joe and Erick have a lot of stuff to talk about and they are willing to get the frequency up to weekly.  They will talk more about the frequency in the next podcast.

WILL THE FORMAT CHANGE?

The format will remain the same, however, there will be some additions that we are excited about; things like interviews, contests and giveaways.

WHY THE CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP?

There are two main reasons for this change:

  1. Erick had a conflict with the magazine that would prevent this podcast from growing. So he will now be a voluntary co-host but will not be involved with the business end of the podcast.  He will be donating his time to share his love and passion for this industry and to help promote MultiRotor Pilot magazine which he manages.
  2. This podcast became very popular quickly and because of that the hosting expense has skyrocketed.  The server that we use to syndicate the podcast charges based on downloads and thanks to our loyal listeners we have seen over 90,000 downloads in the short few months that the podcast has been around. JJE Productions has plans to help monetize the site and to invest both capital and resources to offer you a better show.

WILL THE WEBSITE AND PODCAST BE LITTERED WITH ADVERTISING NOW?

No! Our plan is not to obstruct the show with obtrusive advertising, however we do have some plans to partner with some selected companies to offer you much more value and a lot more information.  Trust us when we say that we have your best interests in mind.  Both Joe nor Erick would agree to this change unless we agreed on the level of impact that would be had by the listeners.  We all think you will be happy with what we have planned.

Please feel free to email us at contact@multirotorpodcast.com with any questions or concerns.  Note that both Joe and Erick are cc’d on all of these emails so you can reach them directly.  Additionally, please feel free to comment below.

We look forward to serving you in the upcoming days, weeks and months.

Thank you for being a valued listener and supporter!

  2. Erick/Joe,

When will your next podcast be available? It is by far the best one out there! I feel like a kid in a candy store when I go to my podcast app and click on “Multirotor Podcast” and a new show is listed. I realize that you are just getting started under a new structure but I’m sure all your listeners would like to have a more regular schedule. Thanks for all you do to take thee mystery out of multirotors.

    • Hi Randy, thank you for the comment. We are glad you like the podcast. We had some business restructuring and are gearing up to take the podcast weekly and with a lot of guests. Please hold tight a little longer…
